Over the last weekend, Congress passed the Democrats' infrastructure bill with very few Republican votes. In fact, none of Texas' GOP members voted for it. I got an email from my Congressperson, John Carter, asking me to comment on his "principled" decision. I let him know that I consider him a failure and a partisan knee-**** conservative that put party loyalty and fealty to the Trump crowd above the interests of Texans or Americans. In case you have not yet contacted your congressperson or not been asked and you are represented by a Republican, if you find some time, it would be an opportunity to hold him/her accountable and express disapproval. If you are represented by a Democrat, then it would not hurt to thank him/her for doing their job and approving a much needed package of funding for roads, bridges, water and sewage systems, EV charging stations, etc. A pat on the back is usually appreciated.
Republican Congresspersons need to feel the heat for their failure (or obstruction) and Democrats need to know we are in their corner.
