Hi there, I’m reaching out on behalf of The Texas Tribune to invite you and yours to a free conversation event featuring a fast-rising star in Democratic politics — Greg Casar. Next Tuesday, April 12 at 8 a.m. Greg Casar, candidate for U.S. House District 35, will sit down with Trib political reporter James Barragán at the Austin Club in downtown Austin for a can’t-miss conversation on his run for Congress, the state of Democratic politics, his visions for affordable housing and police reform, what he’ll do if he wins a seat in the Texas delegation and more. RSVP at https://greg-casar.splashthat.com/mar-com-community to join us in person over a cup of coffee or plan to tune in virtually from wherever you are. We'd love to have y'all in the room.

The next monthly meeting is scheduled for 11 a.m., March 26th, 2022 at

Tres Amigos Restaurant & Cantina

7535 E. Highway 290

Our meeting was delay one week to avoid conflict with the Travis County Democratic Party Convention, 19 March 19th, starting at 10 a.m. at the Barton Springs Hyatt Hotel. Info and sign up at traviscountydemocrats.org/convention22.

We will have our election Executive Committee members, this year for the positions of President and Secretary. (In addition, we have appointed Executive Committee positions open.) If you want to serve on the Executive Committee, please let us know so we can add your name to the ballot.

Our guest speakers include Mayoral candidate Celia Isreal, possibly Railroad commissioner hopeful Luke Walford and Travis County Voter Registrar (and Tax Collector) Bruce Elfant. Bruce will talk about the new management for the VR program and how you can become a VDR-Voter Deputy Registrar.
